The purpose of Planning & Zoning Commission is to improve the health, safety, convenience and welfare of the residents of Collinsville.

This is carried out through maintenance of residential areas and their surroundings and attention to areas of growth.

Building Permit Requirements

The City of Collinsville requires a building permit be obtained before certain construction is began to ensure the safety of our citizens.

These permits must be obtained and paid before the beginning of any applicable project.

2023 Plat Application Calendar

  • Construction Plans must be submitted 60 days before Construction Plat application submission date.
  • Engineering plans associated with construction plats must be submitted 30 days prior to a plat submission date.
  • It is recommended applicants read and comply with the city's adopted ordinances prior to a pre-application and formal application:
  • Applications will not be accepted after 12:00 PM (Noon) on the published submission date. Applications will not be accepted before the published submission date.
